Click here to take the "Which Star Trek character am I?" quiz...--- Anyone else notice that I'm tied with the red-shirt? The quiz had this to say about that. Since your accomplishments are seldom noticed, and you are rarely thought of, you are expendable. That doesn't mean your job isn't important but if you were in Star Trek you would be killed off in the first episode you appeared in.

Well, my sisters and I were talking about the swine flu. Then came up the subject that it is closely related to the avian flu. At which point we asked what would happen when the two viruses combined into a new one. Thus...
When Pigs Will Fly Flu.

Okay, I know I should of posted this earlier since it happened last week on the 6th but... So... I was walking down the stairs and slipped, whacked my tailbone, and slid down to the bottom (about 4-5 steps). My first reaction to the pain and such when I reached the bottom? I wanted to laugh. It was a little difficult to try to not laugh. It was really strange, since shouldn't I be crying out in pain or something. IT HURT! Since then, I took the next day off of the various things I needed to do in order to lay around (literally) all day. Till now, I have just taken pain-killers when needed to get through the day. Though the storms in this area didn't help. I think it made the pain worse.
Oh well, I now got that off my chest. Still hurts to sit down straight, but I manage with odd positions.

Well, today was interesting... Made about...475 cookies, based on three different recipes today...from scratch... Interestingly enough, I didn't mind making them. What I do mind right now, is that my feet hurt from standing on the tile for the past 11 hours.
Need sleep?

So...been going through Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core and it hit me. The quotes from LOVELESS sound a bit like events that happened in Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus. It sort of sounds like it is about Vincent/Chaos, or at some points his POV. Of course that could be just me. Then again...well, go ahead and read the compilation of quotes that I made.
-------------
LOVELESS
“You will take flight? Even if the world hates us so.”
“A painful tomorrow is all that waits for you. Even twirling winds will not stop their flow.”
- Genesis: “The mysterious abyss tis the Gift of the Goddess. In pursuit of this gift we take flight. Within the heart's water surface a hopeless wander will flow. Like ripples to waves come forth the dreams below.”
Sephiroth: “Loveless” Act 1 -
“Generously you are blessed with the Goddess' love. To hate the world, even as heroes.”
“Gift of the Goddess”
- “It is your fate. Your dreams and pride are no more. From the Goddess's bow, the fated arrow is released” Genesis: “Loveless” Act 4 Hojo: The scene where the best friends duel each other. An epic story from a long time ago. I've read all the research materials on it but, it's worthless. Angeal: Was there an end to the duel? Hojo: Unknown. The last act is missing. Even till today it hasn't been found. -
“Thy revenge has scarred my soul. Agonizing for its end my wish becomes my relief---and your peaceful slumber.”
“My wish for tomorrow shall shatter my soul. For the price of my pride. Flight is no more for my wing has shattered.”
“Your desire, the Goddess's Gift shall foster a life. Your story shall be told, your sacrifice and the world's end. Like the wind that blows over the secret water surface, gently and certainly.”
“It is handed down. Your sacrifice and the world's end. Like the blowing winds over an unknown water surface---softly and certainly.”
“The end of the world is brought by the duel of the beasts. The Goddess shall fall from the darkest sky. Spreading her wings of light and darkness, she shall lead us to our paradise, along with her gift.”
- Genesis: It's unfortunate that you cannot understand the beauty of these lines. Well I won't force upon you to understand. Even I have difficulty understanding it sometimes. The greatest mystery of obtaining the “Gift of the Goddess” is “Water Surface” and finally returning to the “Lifestream”.
Genesis: The final chapter is lost and with it exists dismissals of its existence. However the correct version is my very own interpretation. I will show you proof of that. -
“Nothing shall fortell my return. Even if the morrow is barren of promises. To become the dew that quenches the land. To spare the skies, the seas to sands.”
-------------
Of course, I think the script that I got this from was translated from Japanese.
Still, as I said before, if you think about the events that happened in FFVII:DoC, think of the Goddess as the Lifestream, her Gift is the Corrupted Lifestream, and the Water Surface is the Planet, then in a weird way it sounds like LOVELESS is some sort of prophecy about the events that happened in that game.
Fun, huh? Not to mention eerie... I think I feel plunnies creeping about. =)

Devil Bird
The Devil Bird of Sri Lanka and India was once a mysterious cryptid found only in the densest mountain jungles. Known to the natives as Ulama or Maha Bakamuna, it was known to several tribes, all of whom described it as a rarely seen large bird which hid itself from humans as much as possible. Usually the only evidence of the bird's existence was its extremely loud, frightening cry, which sounded remarkably like a human being in pain or dying. Both the natives and settlers from foreign countries associated the bird with the devil because of its call, earning it the name of Devil Bird. A few lucky people caught a glimpse of the Ulama, and described it as similar to a cuckoo or nighthawk. Sightings persisted for hundreds of years, largely ignored, mostly due to superstitious beliefs that the bird was a thing of evil. Cryptozoologists beleived that if it existed it was probably a sort of owl, but it remained among the most obscure and little-known of the world's cryptids, often considered to be a purely mythological creature. All that changed in July of 2001, when a species of owl was identified which matched the description perfectly. Villagers had found an immature specimen abandoned in the forest, being attacked by crows, and rescued it. Biologists heard of it when a picture of the animal was printed on the cover of a Sri Lankan newspaper. It was designated Bubo nipalensis, a close relative of the forest eagle owl, which also lives in Sri Lanka. B. nipalensis has no common name yet, but it matches the description of the Maha Bakamuna perfectly (it is also the largest owl in Sri Lanka). The legend and subsequent discovery of the Devil Bird stands as a true cryptozoological success story. Like the okapi, the mountain gorilla, and the coelocath, the Ulama is a classic example of a cryptid proven to be real and accepted by science. Perhaps one day some of the most famous cryptids will be discovered and categorized as real animals, and not just figments of the imagination.

--- Hawthorn – Hawthorn is one of the three sacred Irish trees (along with Oak and Ash) and its wands have what could be considered a dual personality. They produce strong spells for those to which they belong. Equally effective for Dark magic as it is for good, the possessor of this wand has the potential to wield great power. The duplicity of legend runs deep in the wood of the Hawthorn and therefore it is excellent for protective and defensive magic as well as Charms. Those who possess this wand usually have strong powers of divination and heightened intuition. Hawthorn’s personality is passionate. Element: Fire --- Unicorn Hair is best for those with pure intentions, and is almost never wielded by someone intending to use their wand for evil purposes. Especially good for love, defense and healing magic. --- As a side note, I just realized something. Technically this wand is one inch longer that Draco's. And considering that all the surveys I take tend to put me in same house...does that mean I'm like him?

What Animal Demon Are You? (Re-made!) You are a dragon demon!Weapon: Anything and everything. Magic: Any element, but their strengths differ depending on their race.Dragon demons are truly the strongest demon out there. Their powers with magic and weapons give them a spot at the top of all the fighters, and they adore this place. To a dragon, power is the number one thing they chase after. They fight to become stronger, and constantly cast spells that may be beyond their ability of control. Dragon demons are cold and distant to everyone, including the one or two people they may stand to be around. Though they never show it, dragon demons develop strong attatchments to a few people, though they try to ignore them. They normally remain silent and calculating unless there is something they really need to say. Despite their extreme strengths, dragon demons tend towards the shy side. Take this quiz!

Bleargh... Too many projects to get finished while feeling ill. RHK joins me in such conditions. So RHK is sorry to not be updating MoI. Oh well... At the very latest RHK says that the next chapter of MoI will come out in two more weeks (since the deadline for those projects is then).

It's strange.
A couple days ago, I just found out that a good part of my collection of books decided to get nice and cozy with some mildew. For some reason I should feel sad about this. Yet...I didn't. I felt nothing. Then I went and replaced a good portion of it (geh...$400 worth...so much for saving up to treat myself) and asked for the rest of them for Christmas. From what I understand, there is now only one book that will not be replaced since it is out of print. Now I feel sad because that was the one book that I did like to read a lot.
Go figure.
